Objectives and competences

The course is designed to provide a general overview of the cannabis industry, ranging from aspects of production to the marketing of products and market trends. As well as focusing on cultivation techniques and processing, the programme will also cover legal, technical and quality issues.

The course is offered in an online format. It is primarily aimed at technical experts and managers in the cannabis sector as well as graduates specializing in agricultural engineering, biotechnology, chemical and environmental sciences and industrial, construction and biomaterials engineering.

- To acquire a global, strategic and technological overview for decision making for the cultivation, transformation, marketing and sale of products derived from Cannabis.
- To learn about the latest trends and cutting-edge tools and the methods and instruments that facilitate the application of optimal and efficient solutions.
- To gain a global understanding of the cannabis sector as a whole from leading experts and through a theoretical-practical approach based on the latest scientific and technological advances and case studies.
- To conduct studies and implement projects related to the cannabis sector that meet international standards for technical, economic, environmental and social viability.
- To plan, project and manage resources and lead multidisciplinary teams in the various areas of the industrial and medical cannabis sector.

- Students with a university background, with or without experience in the sector.
- Graduates in fields related to agronomy, health sciences, or law.
- People interested in working in the global legal cannabis sector.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
