Objectives and competences

This master's degree provides the knowledge and skills necessary to become an expert in pharmaceutical skin care and to be able to confidently provide advice in this field. Among the objectives of the course is to provide the pharmacist with the knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to offer the right advice in each case or to recommend specific action protocols adapted to the specific pathology, situation and needs of the consumer.

Objectives

- Acquire knowledge, skills and techniques to give proper advice and to achieve client or patient loyalty in all areas and services studied on the course.
- Learn the criteria to employ good practices in the provision of dermocosmetics at the pharmacy outlet.
- Understand the work involved in the successful management of a the skincare department of a standard pharmacy, with a view to optimizing efficiency and maximizing profit.
- Be able to identify skin disorders (atopic dermatitis, sensitive skin, acne, etc.) and the situations in which they are likely to present through the different stages of life (infancy and childhood, pregnancy, puberty, old age, etc.).
- Be able to recommend specific protocols for a given disease, context and consumer.
- Generate a reasoned interest among consumers in the use of skin care products.

Recommended applicant profile

- Graduates in pharmacy.
- 10% of places are reserved for other university degree holders in health sciences: biology, physical activity and sports sciences, nursing, physiotherapy, biomedicine, medicine, human nutrition and dietetics, dentistry, podiatry, psychology, veterinary sciences and other university degrees in this group.

Admission requirements: university degree (all students must have a university qualification to be admitted).
