Objectives and competences

The master's degree in Comprehensive Pharmaceutical Care aims, among others, to provide the pharmacist with the theoretical and practical elements on the latest trends in the pharmaceutical profession in the healthcare environment, in order to promote an appropriate management and use of medicines in the systems of health and propose intervention models, techniques and strategies for the implementation of services and programs where the pharmacist is involved and capable in the process of making appropriate clinical decisions related to the medicine and its environment.

Objectives

- To understand the theoretical and practical aspects of the latest trends in the pharmaceutical care profession, to promote the appropriate use and management of drugs in health systems.
- Understand intervention models, techniques and strategies for setting up services and programmes, taking suitable clinical decisions with regard to drugs and the settings in which they are administered.
- Develop partnerships with health centres according to the needs and priorities of patients suffering from the most prevalent chronic diseases.
- Acquire knowledge and skills to establish effective communication with patients or their caregivers.
