Objectives and competences

This postgraduate degree allows students to delve deeper into the two interrelated disciplines of psychology and economics to better explore, understand and predict the decisions people make. By combining economic models with which psychology analyses individual behaviour and emotions, it is possible to have the ability to develop predictive models of behaviour based on a solid theoretical foundation in both psychology and economics,
and to gain training in the use of tools to implement what has become one of the key areas of the growth economy.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

This postgraduate course provides practical and multidisciplinary training founded on the social and behavioural sciences in order to gain a better understanding of people and society and to be able to influence them. The course focuses on theoretical foundations and their application to real situations in relation to the core concepts in behavioural economics and the cognitive science of decision-making and advances in these, and aims to enable students to positively influence consumers, citizens, institutions, organizations and society in general by analysing and influencing people's behaviour.

Recommended applicant profile

Professionals with experience or currently working in business management, business development or project management who want to align products, services or specific projects with an experiential human behavioural perspective focusing on decision making and behavioural change.

Admission requirements: University qualification.

Those who are not university graduates but who can demonstrate a minimum of five years of management experience are also eligible for admission (in this case, a university extension degree is awarded). Consult the course directors for more information on the admission requirements and conditions for this type of student.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
