Recommended applicant profile

Aimed at: Students who have completed two years in the Philosophy programme at the University of Experience and former students of the university extension courses in Perennial Philosophy. 

Admission requirements: Applicants must have completed the Philosophy programme offered by the UB's University of Experience. If the number of applicants is higher than the number of places offered, priority will be given to applicants in alphabetical order using the first initial of their surnames and starting from the letter selected in a public draw. Attendance of 80% of the sessions entitles the student to obtain a university extension certificate. According to University of Barcelona regulations, students cannot sit in classes unless they have enrolled for them. 

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

Observations:Language uses at the UB:Catalan is the University of Barcelona's official language and, as such, it is used for institutional and administrative purposes. For the purposes of teaching, however, both Catalan and Spanish are used, as these languages hold co-official status in Catalonia.  Teaching staff and students have the right to express themselves, orally or in writing, in the official language of their choice.

Teaching mode: the course is expected to be taught in face-to-face teaching mode. However, if face-to-face teaching is not advised or permitted by the health and academic authorities due to health circumstances, then the course could be taught in distance mode. 

The centre reserves the right to cancel the course if the required minimum number of students is not reached.
