Objectives and competences

It aims to provide participants with basic skills for applied use of R programming language using RStudio, as well as a level of independence sufficient to process and analyse data. This application is very versatile, has extensive online documentation and is free of charge, which is why it is widely used in the scientific community. The approach of the course is extremely practice-orientated, with real-life examples and an emphasis on the field of healthcare. It also aims to provide tools to solve problems encountered when creating code.

Objectives

Students will learn to use R and the RStudio programming language for the most common basic data management and analysis tasks in healthcare. The course also aims to provide students with tools and resources for independent problem solving in writing code and to expand upon their existing knowledge in this area.

Recommended applicant profile

Aimed at: Healthcare professionals interested in getting started in data processing and analysis with R and RStudio.

Requirements: Bacherlor's degree (or final-year students who have completed at least 90% of the total credits towards their bachelor's degree)

Although it is not a prerequisite, basic knowledge of statistics is recommended.
