The primary purpose for creating this master is the growing trend towards interventional radiology, which has given rise to the need for specific,
regulated, accredited training in this area for nursing professionals.
Advances in interventional techniques and new equipment call for up-to-date, expert training in this field,
to promote quality and patient safety.
Defining, identifying and describing the duties of nurses is essential for ensuring that the theoretical and practical content of the master's degree
has continuity, uniformity and quality.

Observations:Asynchronous online theory classes supported by notes and video tutorials accessible from the online platform. Hospital placements (375 hours) are also offered at Hospital Clínic and other collaborating hospitals (these placements can be validated if the usual care work involved in interventional radiology is verified).
