Objectives and competences

The programme is designed to provide comprehensive and
specialized training in addiction intervention. Through a practical and evidence-based
approach, participants are provided the tools and knowledge they need to address addiction by integrating family therapy, and focusing on the key factors of trauma and gender.
People who are interested in training to work in the field of addiction management will explore key concepts through this programme, from the fundamentals of addiction to advanced interventions, developing skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

The course trains professionals with the expertise to address cases of addiction
from a holistic perspective, incorporating family therapy and focusing on the effects of gender and trauma. The main objective of the programme is to develop specialized knowledge and advanced skills in therapeutic interventions to address addictions, integrating contemporary theoretical approaches, family therapy models, and a deep understanding of gender and trauma factors.

Recommended applicant profile

Graduates in social education, social work, pedagogy, psychology, psychopedagogy, sociology or anthropology, formal education teachers (of pupils up to 16 years old). And other professionals of the social, healthcare or legal fields who may be professionally involved in the field of addictions.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
