Objectives and competences

This practical course focuses on the design and management of maritime and land transport intermodality that foster the construction of sustainable and efficient logistics networks. The course addresses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and includes a logistics laboratory, a foreign trade simulator (Port Virtual Lab 4.0) and the optional experience of solving a practical case study in the Port of Barcelona and/or on board a Barcelona-Rome cruise ship where practice is provided in locations where operations are carried out in real time. The course addresses the use of AI and the credits can be recognized for the UB Master's Degree in Logistics and International Trade.

Objectives

To acquire practical training in logistics, transport and the management of maritime and land transport intermodality that foster the construction of sustainable and efficient logistics chains. The course has a logistical laboratory, a foreign trade simulator and the experience of solving a practical case at the Port of Barcelona, on board the Barcelona-Rome Cruise. Students will work online with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the use of AI. This is a practical course in which students gain practical experience in locations where operations are carried out in real time.

The course allows for the recognition of credits from the MOST Management course of the European School of the Port of Barcelona in the microcredential course and in the UB Master's Degree in Logistics and International Trade.

Observations:Students obtain the University of Barcelona's microcredential certificate, which accredits and certifies that they have the skills and professional qualifications to efficiently and sustainably manage global transport and supply chains. Optionally, the SSS MOST Management Rome Logistics course-workshop can be taken on board the Cruise Barcelona sailing from Barcelona-Rome (the cost of the cabin and meals is at the student's expense).
