Objectives and competences

Master's and postgraduate programme for psychologists and other professionals seeking to specialize in 21st-century clinical psychoanalysis with Freudian and Lacanian orientation, and in the most current issues of psychopathology. Introductory and advanced master classes are offered each year, as well as research seminars, clinical case studies, small group workshops and practical placements in fourteen mental health facilities with on-staff psychoanalysts. The aim is to acquire knowledge that will lead to contemplation and consideration of the paradoxes of psychic suffering and generate a desire for further training in clinical psychoanalysis.

- To recognize that the therapeutic bond depends on the position adopted by the professional.
- To understand the fundamental principles and key problematics of the mental health professions.

Recommended applicant profile

- Graduates and diploma holders in psychology or medicine.
- Clinical psychologists, general health psychologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and resident doctors specializing in psychiatry.
- Graduates in Nursing, Social Education, Social Work, Educational Psychology or Criminal Sciences, currently working or interested in working in the field of mental health.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
