Objectives and competences
This is an intensive programme that trains professionals to assess the safety of cosmetic products across Europe. It is designed and taught by prestigious experts in the sector, from the academic and professional fields, with the collaboration of the SEQC (Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists), STANPA (National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics), AEFI (Spanish Association of Industrial Pharmacists) and the COFB (Barcelona College of Pharmacists).

Objectives and competences
Objectives
- To study current EU legislation on safety assessment.
- To receive training in the main experimental methods for assessing toxicity, particularly in cosmetic safety studies.
- To acquire comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of validated alternative methods to animal testing applicable to the study of cosmetics.
- To carry out practical activities that involve drawing up technical files on cosmetic ingredients and products, in accordance with EU legislation.

Recommended applicant profile
- Graduates in pharmacy, toxicology, medicine, dermatology or similar fields who work or are planning to work in safety assessment of cosmetic products.- Professionals working in the cosmetics industry: managers of cosmetics companies, raw material suppliers, distributors, employees of contract laboratories, inspectors and legislators.
Professionals who can demonstrate that they are members of the SEQC, COFB or STANPA companies are entitled to special tuition conditions.
Access requirements and conditions
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.Pre-enrolment
