Objectives and competences

The main objective is to present the main hydrogeological aspects related to human activities (civil works, geothermal energy, mining, etc.). The secondary objectives are to expose the fundamental aspects in the management and planning of water resources and the economy of water under different scenarios, know the different methods, devices and principles of the artificial recharge of aquifers, or other methods applied for management water or aquifer protection (barriers against intrusion, marine, reactive barriers, etc.). This 9-credit course is taught over 5 months, with synchronous streaming/face-to-face classes.
