Objectives and competences
This course provides an understanding of the structural defects of the organs or parts that make up the oral cavity and its annexes, and equips students with the knowledge they need to be able to detect abnormal behaviour of the function of the stomatognathic system and to diagnose and medically treat the alterations and disorders presented during the course. Students will also be trained to perform more complex exploratory and diagnostic techniques and to demonstrate selective criteria for choosing the appropriate complementary tests and correctly evaluate the results.

- To acquire the knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat the diseases and disorders covered during the course.
- To acquire the skills to carry out the most suitable diagnostic explorations and techniques.
- To demonstrate the expertise to be able to select the most appropriate complementary tests and to carry out a correct evaluation of the results.
