Objectives and competences
Over the course of these two academic years, students develop an in-depth understanding of oral medicine in terms of the diagnosis and medical treatment of oral diseases, and receive training in theoretical and clinical practice in both basic and advanced oral surgery (biopsies, simple and complex extractions with osteotomy and odontosection and also other surgical procedures, such as frenectomies, included teeth, cystectomies, bone biopsies, bone regularisation, apicoectomies, etc.). It will also be rotated through the Maxillofacial Surgery service at Bellvitge University Hospital and diagnostic and treatment techniques will be practised using new technologies.
