Objectives and competences

The course has been designed for historians, journalists, researchers, intelligence analysts and anyone interested in Turkish and Central Asian language or culture. The course includes practice and interactive exercises, and students will learn the basics of how to communicate in Turkish, as well as some aspects of Turkish culture and literature. By the end of the course, students will be able to: Distinguish and pronounce the different phonemes in the Turkish language; read and understand a simple text in Turkish.
