Objectives and competences

Acupuncture is a therapy that is thousands of years old and forms part of traditional Chinese medicine. It is commonly used as an integrated therapy in the treatment of many diseases. This course is designed for graduates or diploma holders in medicine, physiotherapy, nursing, dentistry and veterinary medicine. It gives students the opportunity to receive training in acupuncture in order to broaden their perspectives in their care and healing of people by gaining competence in the energetic assessment of the patient and knowledge about this practice.

Objectives

- To learn the main theories and concepts of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
- To carry out the practice of acupuncture, as a professional, with suitable theoretical contents and practical training, and to facilitate the understanding and deduction of diseases to be able to clinically assess the patient.
- To gain experience based on theoretical knowledge, practical skill and a positive attitude to carry out a correct diagnosis and the most suitable treatment for patients.
