Objectives and competences

This training course on open source intelligence (OSINT), i.e. knowledge gathered from publicly available sources, includes lessons on searching for, selecting and acquiring information and further processing and analysing it n order to obtain valuable, practical knowledge applicable in diverse settings. It is a practical training course organized in five blocks: The legal and intelligence framework, digital self-protection, becoming an undercover cyber-agent, advanced searches/monitoring and evidence certification. This training is suitable for private investigators, members of the Spanish armed forces, criminologists and anyone interested in investigation.

Students and graduates in private investigation, security professionals who are interested in expanding their knowledge in this subject and police officers.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
