Bodily injury assessment is the medical activity that assesses injuries, disabilities, sequelae and damages resulting from accidents or illnesses in order to determine fair compensation. This online professional-focus master's degree is designed to update participants' medical expertise in all areas, especially occupational disabilities, and leads towards accreditation as a medical assessor. The master's degree is intended for graduates in medicine who wish to work as medical inspectors in one of the disability assessment teams of the Catalan Institute of Medical Assessments or as independent or insurance-company medical assessors for workplace accidents.

Objectives

- To carry out the professional functions of a medical expert in the evaluation of bodily injury reports in car accidents.
- To acquire the training to evaluate employees' health status and to determine whether they suffer from temporary or permanent disabilities that prevent them from working.
- To assess disabilities (handicaps) and their impact.
- To perform the functions of an inspecting doctor in an evaluation and orientation team or in the Catalan Institute of Health and Medical Evaluation (ICAM).
