Objectives and competences

The Master's Degree in HIV/AIDS lasts two academic years. The first year includes the basic course on AIDS, which aims to provide the full range of theoretical knowledge on epidemiology, diagnosis, clinical manifestations of opportunistic infections and tumours and co-infections with hepatitis viruses and sexually transmitted infections, antiretroviral treatment and prevention. The second year consists of a course on advances in AIDS, clinical practice and the presentation of the Master's Thesis Final Project (TFM). This master's degree programme is designed for medical and nursing staff and other health science professionals.
