Objectives and competences

The course consists of an ambitious programme that aims to cover those aspects that occurred in a given era that could affect the individual in the history of humanity in order to understand the art that has reached us today and try to interpret it through plastic artworks created by students under the influence of each chapter studied. We have separated it into thirty-three chronologically arranged eras/styles for better understanding.

Objectives

- To learn, understand, assimilate and transmit the evolution in representation of plastic art throughout history, in the period between prehistory and Mannerism.
- Completion of an art project that interprets each of the topics (periods/styles) of the programme by creating a work of art.

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
