Objectives and competences

This master's degree represents comprehensive, in-depth training in the science and practice of mindfulness. The first year focuses on deepening students' personal practice by carrying out several interventions based on mindfulness and its applications to develop healthy living habits. In addition, a general overview is provided from the origins of contemplative traditions, to biology, medicine, neuroscience and psychology. In the second year, students continue to deepen their practice and scientific knowledge. The course focuses mainly on the development of students' skills as mindfulness instructors.

Objectives

General objective:
- To gain theoretical and practical knowledge of mindfulness and health, and develop and experience practices of mindfulness and healthy living habits.
Specific objectives:
- To gain theoretical and practical training on the bases of mindfulness, with a focus on promoting people's health and well-being. - To learn the scientific bases and applications of mindfulness on health.
- To experience first hand various mindfulness and compassion programmes.
- Training in skills to teach mindfulness.
