Objectives and competences

After detecting the need for professionals with specialized training in the plastics and composites sector, the Spanish Plastics Centre (CEP) has designed a programme to train technicians and specialists in all areas of the plastic and composites industry.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

- Acquire an overview of the plastics and composites industry: design, materials, production, quality, environment, etc.
- To acquire training for professional practice in the sector, specifically regarding:
- Design processes and finishing techniques.
- Materials, equipment and transformation processes, maintenance of machinery, moulds.
- Quality assurance and lean manufacturing tools.
- Recycling and energy assessment methods.

Recommended applicant profile

- Technicians or workers in the plastic and composites industry.
- People with technical-sales background or who are focused on related services and who wish to expand their knowledge in the field of plastics and composites.
- Recent university graduates in the areas of science and engineering.
All students must participate in a motivation interview to assess aspects such as work experience and previous knowledge, the students motives and their expectations about this degree programme.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
