Objectives and competences

Objectives

- To gain cross-cutting competencies with the aim of developing the social and emotional skills required to maintain satisfactory interactions and specific competences, that is, the knowledge and skills required to effectively undertake the work activity. This course emerged in the context of the University of Barcelona - Adecco Foundation chair in the integration of people with disabilities into employment, led by PhD holder Marina Romeo (www.ub.edu/catedrainlab).

Applicant profile and access requirements

Recommended applicant profile

As indicated in the third call for the development of university training programmes for employment aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities registered in the national youth guarantee system of which this course forms part, the admission requirements are:
- Have an intellectual disability of 33% or above, which is officially recognized by the relevant body in the respective autonomous community.
- Be aged at least 18 or have turned 18 during 2023 and be under 30 years old.
- Be a beneficiary of the national youth guarantee system before the start of the course and have had documentation for at least fifteen days before the course start date.

Observations:Face-to-face teaching is from Monday to Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., to facilitate the interaction of students with all members of the university community on the Campus in an out-of-class space (during the placement period, classes will also be held on Friday).
