Objectives and competences

One of the emerging professional opportunities for health professionals is in the world of sport. To undertake their functions correctly, professionals and experts who provide advice on sports nutrition require technical and cross-cutting competences that the master's degree in Nutrition in Physical Activity and Sport aims to provide for students. The main aim is to train professionals in the area of sports nutrition with a high degree of expertise so that they can offer a highly qualified professional service.

Objectives

- Learn to educate sportspersons and their environment in proper eating habits.
- Acquire the knowledge and skills to create and recommend appropriate diets for sports practice during training, pre-competition, competition and post-competition, taking into account the specific requirements of individual athletes.
- Acquire knowledge and skills necessary to develop and recommend patterns in supplementation and hydration in sports.

Graduates, holders of diplomas or pre-EHEA bachelor's degrees in health and sports sciences: dietetics and nutrition, pharmacy, medicine, biology, physical activity and sports sciences, nursing, physiotherapy, biomedical sciences, food science and technology, etc.

Observations:Some sessions may be held in the facilities of the other organizations involved in teaching the course: Bellvitge Campus, Torribera Campus, CAR Sant Cugat, INEFC Barcelona.
