Objectives and competences
Clubfoot is a deformity that appears at birth whose current treatment of choice is the method described by Dr Ignacio Ponseti. The Ponseti method is based on deep knowledge of the biology and biomechanics of clubfoot and consists of a specific way of manipulating, casting and avoiding relapse, as well as detecting and treating relapse if it occurs.
To obtain good results, knowledge is required of the details of the method and the implementation of a strict technique.
