Objectives and competences
Currently in Spain there are not enough pediatricians to guarantee healthcare for the child and adolescent population. In many primary care centres and first and second level hospitals with small emergency departments, this lack is a considerable problem in daily work, and these tasks are taken on by general practitioners or medical graduates without specialized postgraduate training. Therefore, comprehensive, specific training in pediatrics, guaranteed by a prestigious institution, opens doors to the work world for students of our master's degree.
