Objectives and competences

The GAEAP is an inter-university postgraduate course taught by the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, which provides knowledge, techniques and instruments for environmental assessment, intervention and management, both in the field of organizations and in public administration. In this postgraduate course, issues such as environmental legislation, ecology, conflict and environmental mediation, leadership, management, impact studies, environmental audits, internal and external communication, environmental training, corporate sustainability are studied.

Objectives

- To receive training for environment-related jobs, with an emphasis on individual and social behaviour.
- To learn to use techniques and tools to assess and manage environmental issues in businesses and institutions.
- To acquire the concepts, language and practices in this field to carry out professional work demanding inter- and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

- University graduates with a specific interest or academic/professional involvement in aspects of the environment, sustainability or land planning.
- Especially, social scientists (psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, geographers) lawyers, economists, political scientists, biologists, environmental scientists, chemists, geologists, architects and engineers.
