Objectives and competences
This master's degree began in the 1991-1992 academic year. It is aimed at undergraduates/graduates in psychology and/or medicine (or students who have up to 10% of credits pending), who wish to deepen the psychoanalytical model of development and the psychopathological understanding of its alterations, as well as begin to be introduced into clinical practice. We consider that at the end of the course the student will have acquired the basic knowledge to approach the clinic in childhood and adolescence which will allow them to start their professional activity, as well as to access training that deepens this field.

Objectives
- To acquire the theoretical and diagnostic skills to address situations in which emotional development may be affected and lead to pathological issues.
- To know especially the alterations of the personality and the conduct.
- To identify the main theoretical and technical models of psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children, adolescents and their families.
- To discuss therapeutic strategies through consideration of clinical cases.
- To gain a general introduction to clinical care and technical resources for clinical practice.
- To learn how the healthcare network works for child and adolescent mental health.
- To learn to identify an object of study and research in a clinical setting.
