Objectives and competences

The postgraduate course is dedicated to the study and deepening of the issues that arise in situations of risk and helplessness of minors and the appropriate instruments for the resolution of the problems that arise around the rights of children and adolescents, completing the programme with the issues of power and the processes of alimony and filiation, of providing support measures to persons with disabilities, of the protection and attention of older persons with special needs, and giving special relevance to the processing of national and international adoptions.

Recommended applicant profile

- University graduates in areas of teaching that are related to professional practice with children and adolescents and the protection of the individual (law, psychology, education, social work, social education, labour relations, sociology, anthropology, education sciences and political sciences).
- Professionals interested in the care of children and individuals with special needs who are already working in a capacity that is directed related to these areas but wish to acquire additional interdisciplinary training.

Access requirements and conditions

The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
