Objectives and competences

Two-year full-tine programme. This postgraduate course trains students to become pediatric dentists. They will work with young patients of all ages, from infants to children and adolescents, on a daily basis. They will also gain experience in the use of different sedation and general anaesthesia techniques for patient treatment. Students will also be trained in performing literature searches and preparing clinical cases and will participate in conferences and undergraduate and postgraduate level classes.

Objectives and competences

Objectives

To gain specialist training in pediatric dentistry through a two-year academic programme.

During the second academic year, students will complete a placement in the Pediatric Dentistry Unit of San Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona, under the supervision of Dr Lluís Brunet. Students also complete a rotation in the Pediatric Dentistry Service of the Barcelona Children's Hospital, under the direction of Dr Isabel Maura.

Recommended applicant profile

Graduates in dentistry or in medicine and surgery specializing in stomatology.

Access requirements: curriculum vitae. Candidates may be asked to attend a face-to-face or online interview if the selection panel wishes to clarify any aspects of their application. In exceptional cases, a theoretical or practical test may be included.
