Competences
General competences
The general competences described in the report on the bachelor's degree in Education are based on the capacity to analyse, synthesise and apply knowledge, and to adopt a creative, entrepreneurial and innovative attitude. Students should develop a cross-disciplinary and intercultural understanding of educational phenomena, to resolve problems in a multicultural, complex society. It is important to collaborate and work in a team on common projects, and to demonstrate attitudes that are consistent with ethical and moral concepts.
In all of these processes, it is essential to be able to understand and express oneself using specialised language and terminology, to transmit educational knowledge to different groups and adapt to changes in the knowledge society.
Specific competences
The specific competences that students must develop in the bachelor's degree in Education are focused on key concepts such as the analysis of cultural, political and legal factors in educational and training proposals, and the use of tools to assess and analyse education, and to design educational and training proposals. These may be for the organisation or management of centres, institutions or educational services, or plans for lifelong learning and trainer training, adapted to new educational situations and needs.
In this context, it is essential to be able to undertake prospective, evaluation and critical studies on the characteristics, needs and demands of education and training in current society, and to implement and evaluate techniques and strategies for providing educational advice, consultancy and mediation in professional, institutional, social and educational environments.
