As the University of Barcelona is aware of the need to complement, extend and update knowledge in a changing world, it provides a series of courses and activities for the university community and society in general.

Catalan language courses
​​​​​​The Catalan language courses organized by the UB Language Services are mainly for the university community, but are also open to the general public. Beginners to advanced courses are taught face-to-face in various UB centres throughout the academic year and in the summer.

Knowledge of foreign languages is essential in today’s society and helps students in their university studies and in their future job searches. The UB’s School of Modern Languages (EIM) provides the opportunity to study languages from beginner to advanced level and offers general, specific and international exam preparation courses. It also offers exams for the official certification of Spanish language.
