Together with the POLIS Research Center: Art, City, Sustainability and the research institutes in Biomedicine (IBUB), Education (IRE), Nutrition and Food Health (INSA), Complex Systems (UBICS), Biodiversity (IRBio), and Applied Economics (IREA), as well as the TransJus Institute and the Barcelona Economics Analysis Team (BEAT), we are working on organizing a scientific event for the creation of sustainable social scenarios.

The activity aims to hold a day-long event that allows members of the Sustainability Hub, integrated into various research groups and institutes, as well as all PDI members with similar interests, to analyze the research they are developing in a more global and interdisciplinary way and to identify challenges they can contribute to in their research work. At the same time, the goal is for this event to become a collaborative workspace and interdisciplinary meeting place that fosters interaction among the various research structures and faculties affiliated with the Hub.

The event also includes a working session aimed at defining thematic axes that can build a research and communication strategy for a realistic and sustainable scenario.

The event is scheduled for May 2026. This activity is supported by the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the University of Barcelona through the 2025 grant for activities that foster synergies in research.
