Employability

The area of outreach and engagement with society is one of the main areas of activity for the Faculty of Chemistry, for which social commitment, cohesion and collective endeavour are key factors.

The Faculty's external relations are organised around outreach activities for prospective students and services for external companies and organisations. Each year, the Faculty organises various activities for secondary school students to get to know the Faculty and the courses offered.
Finally, the Faculty provides students and the business community with a range of services and events to enhance the transfer of talent from our students and alumni, as well as scientific and technological transfer.

Job bank

On the University of Barcelona's job board, managed by Alumni UB, around 2,500 job vacancies are published each year from organisations across all economic sectors, which are accessible to graduates and to master's and doctoral students.
Offers aimed at occupational profiles linked to the courses taught at the Faculty of Chemistry are also disseminated through the Employability Campus, a very important tool for all students in the final stages of their studies.

Placements

The aim of external placements is to complement the knowledge acquired during academic training and to foster students' professional development and employment prospects. At the Faculty of Chemistry, an average of 500 training projects are processed each academic year, including bachelor's and master's degrees.

To host students on placements, an educational cooperation agreement must be formalised between the University and the collaborating organisation.

Recursos externs

Des de l'any 1989, els alumnes més destacats acadèmicament als ensenyaments de Física tenen l'oportunitat de participar al Programa EUS per desenvolupar la darrera part del seu ensenyament sota una formació impartida íntegrament en anglès, en grups reduïts i planificat de forma intensiva durant tres semestres.

Business Fair and Speed-Networking

The Business Fair is an opportunity for students to connect with companies in fields related to their studies. It also provides a framework for researchers in different groups to establish transfer and research relationships. It represents an attempt to overcome the barrier between university and business and to promote technological transfer, which is so important for the future.
