Welcome to the Infocom double degree information portal.

At the University of Barcelona have foreseen an itinerary that permits you cursar the surveys of Management of the Information and Digital Documentation and Audiovisual Communication simultaneously. For this, is necessary to complete a total of 348 credits at 5 years and cursar subjects of both degrees.

The double degree at Audiovisual Communication and Management of Information and Digital Documentation professional form of the audiovisual sector at the profiles of directorscreenwriterproducerdesigner of production and visual and audible postproduction, researcher and agent of communities (community manager) and that concurrently master the processes and technicians of creation, analysis, management, appraisal and communication of the information at distinct modes and formats for the final users. 

Also, it forms the ones to master the technicians and processes of creation and audiovisual diffusion at the varied phases and genera, as well as the accounts among if, and to meet the technicians of planning, implementation, management and appraisal of products and kicks of information, as well as the canals and ongoing devices for which offer.

Course curriculum

Itineraries

The University of Barcelona recognises at his rule of permanence two types of academic itineraries:

  1. Modality in time complete: the first year the student will have to enrol among a minimum of 60 credits and a maximum of 90 (the first course of Infocom sleep 72 credits) . At the end of the first year will have to have approved at least 24 credits to remain at the itinerary of double degree.
  2. Modality part time: the first year the student will have to enrol among a minimum of 30 credits and a maximum of 45. At the end of the first year will have to have approved at least 12 credits to remain at the itinerary of double degree. 

Optativitat

The students has to cursar 15 elective credits with subjects that can elect among the offer of optativitat of the two ranks (12 credits of Audiovisual Communication and 3 credits of Management of Information and Digital Documentation).

They stay out of elects it of elective subjects the following :

  • Design of Interaction of the rank of Audiovisual Communication, given that it corresponds with the obligatory Design of Interaction at the rank GIDD.
  • Digital video of the rank of Management of Information and Digital Documentation, given that it corresponds with the obligatory Digital Video at the rank of Audiovisual Communication
  • Creation and management of documentary companies, of the  rank of Management of Information and Digital Documentation, since it corresponds with the obligatory subject Entrepreneurship and creation of audiovisual companies of the rank of Audiovisual Communication.

Organization and methodology

The teaching is organized by semesters and in face-to-face mode in the morning, although there is the option of taking subjects of the Degree in Information Management and Digital Documentation in blended mode (afternoons). Given the professional nature of the two courses, the double degree has an eminently practical nature with the use of specific resources of the profession, especially in the case of Audiovisual Communication (cameras and other audiovisual equipment, set, sound room or Mac computer room). Each of the degrees has specific characteristics that must be considered but, in any case, the methodological, evaluative and organizational characteristics of each of the subjects will be determined by the syllabus of the subject.

Matriculable from the course 2024-2025

The works of end of rank (TFGs) are the culmination of the process of learning of the two ranks, thus it recommends that cursi at the final phase of the surveys. It regulates of chord with the regulatory general Norms of the works of end of Rank of the University of Barcelona that concretise at the regulatory Rule of the Works of End of Rank (TFG) of the Faculty of Information and Mitjans Audiovisuals.

It has an assignment of 12 credits of CAV + 9 credits of GIDD and consists at the realisation of an individual work or at band, freelancer, tutoritzat for a teacher of each rank. The result is an only TFG that has to collect the kens acquired at the two degrees. Besides, it is necessary to make evident the sinèrgies that have established among the own kens of each rank.

The student will have to enrol the TFG of cadascun of the two ranks, attended that this subject can not recognise, but will have to realise only one of pool, at which will guarantee that they attain the competences assigned at the TFG of the two ranks. This will achieve by means of the tutorització, appraisal and public defence of the TFG, processes at what will take part teachers and experts of both fields/degrees. The qualification obtained at the TFG realised will be what will feature at the final work of both degrees.

Procedure

The TFG of the double degree have to evidence the attainment of the competences of both degrees. The pupil will present an only work that will integrate the parts required by the project, that will have been previously agreed with the tutors.

At this sense have to have of two parts. A more centred part at the documentary aspect and/or analysis of units of information (GIDD/ID) that include aspects and can be the analysis of the context, the theoretic frame and the bibliographic search, the analysis of users, the depiction of the information, or the organisation of informative rooms. And another part (CAV) that adapt at the type of possible projects (hyphen, realisation and audiovisual production, management of audiovisual company, interactive communication, audiovisual enquiry and other formats with audible audiovisual/piece/visual) and that it permit to visualise the result of the previous survey realised by GIDD.

Appraisal

The appraisal of the TFG makes through some rúbriques or criteria of available appraisal at the virtual Campus. At the virtual Campus also finds documentation and additional guidelines related with his operation.

The final note of the TFG compounds summing the distinct sections that the composen. There are four big sections:

  • Memory. All the TFGs include a memory where details the process of elaboration of the work. It is a document written. The TFGs made at squad have to include an only memory.
  • Audiovisual piece, demo or prototype (CAV). Some TFGs append at the work written a practical element at format of audiovisual piece, demo or prototype.
  • Report tutor/at. The tutors and tutors of the TFGs elaborate a report on the students that have tutoritzat where value the work #carry# out. This report makes at the end of the process, a time handed the TFG.
  • Oral defence. The students has to defend in front of a tribunal of three persons his TFG, exposing what have made and answering the questions that the tribunal consider timely. The conclusions have to present at English and has to respond at English at the questions formulated by one of the members of the tribunal at this tongue.

Mobility

The students of the Faculty has a tracked of opportunities to complement his training at other universities, so much of the rest of the State how of the foreigner. Some programs are thought to complete the surveys, whereas of others promote the acquisition of practical experience at a real labour environment.

Tutorial action plan

The Faculty has of a Plan of Act Tutorial that fixes the acts that the centre and the educations have to realise along the surveys with the aim to facilitate the adaptation of the students at his incorporation at the university, to facilitate his aprofitament academic and personnel and to favour the transition at the world of the work and the permanent training.

Tracking the guidelines fixed at this document frame, the rank of Audiovisual Communication elaborates annually a Plan of act tutorial that has for aim that the students get the information and the necessary orientation to facilitate his integration at the field of the Documentation, his process of learning and his step at the professional world.

At enrolling , or before if they solicit it, at the students of new income will assign him a tutor that will lean him and orientation customised along the surveys. This support will carry out by means of tutories of band and individual, at which the students will be convened during the course, as well as through the tools of communication of the virtual Campus.

Acts of support and of orientation

The Plan of Act Tutorial of the Faculty of Information and Mitjans Audiovisuals defines most of the acts of orientation and support at the learning of individual form and grupal at the students at the distinct phases of his survey.

The acts of support and orientation that realise at the Faculty of Information and Mitjans Audiovisuals are:

Information and previous acts at the tuition

  • Presence at the Saló of the Education, organised of conjoint form with the SAE (Kick of attention at the student)
  • Day of Open Doors, realised at the Faculty for the Deanship and for the managers of the degree.
  • Visits at institutes and centres deprived of secondary education to announce our educations.  
  • Realisation of tutories prematrícula at charge of the Plan of Act Tutorial
  • Briefing on registration for part of the Office of the Faculty.

Acts of orientation and received specific of the degree for the students of new income.

  • Realisation of the Day of Received for the pupils of new income, the first day of class, with the collaboration of the SAE and of the members of the Plan of Act Tutorial
  • Realisation of tutories grupals and individual along the first academic course for such to aid the pupils at the transition at the university system. At charge of the Plan of Act Tutorial
  • Diffusion of activities of interest for the students by means of the Virtual Campus of the Plan of Act Tutorial.

  • Briefings on the programs of mobility.
