The rank at Management of Information and Digital Documentation professional form that they master the processes and the technicians of creation, analysis, management, appraisal and communication of the information at distinct modes and formats for the final users.

 

The rank at Management of Information and Digital Documentation imparts training on the technicians of planning, implementation, management and appraisal of products and kicks of information, and also on the canals and ongoing devices for which offer .

It develops specific competences of capture, selection, organisation, preservation and diffusion of information and documentation by means of the app of the techs.

It develops abilities of own communication of the mediation among the users and the documents, as well as the competences of management of resources to assure the quality of the kicks.

Professional form of open mentality at the capable change to integrate at labour environments marked by the constant innovation of processes and instruments, and to pose at relief the strategic value of the information and the documentation at every type of organisation.

Organization and methodology

The education organises for semesters and realises at face-to-face modality and at turn in the morning. The subjects organise at face-to-face activities, activities of work directed and activities of freelance work. The first, the face-to-face activities, occupy a third of the total of hours of dedication of the subject, and will be able to devote at any of the following formative acts at function of the characteristics of the matter : masterly classes, conferences and talks, resolution of problems, activities at the classroom of software engineer, seminars, visits.

The others two thirds of cadascuna of the subjects correspond at activities directed by the teacher tutor (that often will devote at the development of the activities that realise the students and at his review) and at hours of freelance work of the student.

The educational plan of cadascuna of the subjects specifies the formative activities that will make , the temari, the educational methodologies and the systems of appraisal. These last base at the system of appraisal continued, well that it is possible, although it does not advise especially, opt for the only appraisal.

Cadascuna of the subjects has of a room at the virtual campus of the UB, based at the platform Moodle that acts as a room of interaction among the students and the professorship.

Modality semipresencial (at extinction)

The modality semipresencial organises at:

  • Periodic sessions of twice-weekly nature for cadascuna of the subjects. At these sessions make varied activities at function of the type of matter: presentation or shutdown of motifs, correction of practices, practices with computers, activities of work at band, visits at centres, conferences, proofs of appraisal, etc.
  • Work from the Virtual Campus of the subject among face-to-face sessions.
  • Tutories of follow-up. The pupils have the debenture to assist at a minimum of hours of tutories obligatory of follow-up with the professorship of each subject during the semester. 
  • Appraisal continued of face-to-face nature at the end of the educational period.

Evaluation

Of chord with the regulatory rule of the appraisal and the qualification of the learnings and with the specifications and explanations that has agreed the Academic Commission of our Faculty, delegate of the Joint, the students enrols for defect at the modality of appraisal continued, that consists habitually at a pool of activities avaluables realised along the period lectiu.

The normative frame of the UB, aforementioned, also permits that the pupils that want to receive at an only appraisal (no continued) at some subject, can present at the Office of the Faculty a formal application. The request has to present during the first 20 days of class of each semester (or during the 20 first natural days at counting of the date at what the pupil/at have made effective the extension of the tuition, if this is posterior at the onset of the semester).

A time finalise the term, the Office will move at each teacher the list of pupils of each band that have received at this system.

Before taking any decision in relation to this motif is necessary to consult thoroughly the educational plan of each subject and listen the concretions that each teacher will make the first days of class.

Modality semipresencial

They apply also the normative elements mentioned at the previous paragraphs. Ara well, includes of explicit form a proof of face-to-face appraisal at the end of the educational period, was at the appraisal continued or at the only appraisal. Apart from this proof, it is necessary to have present that the modality semipresencial has his own systems of appraisal that can be consulted at the specific educational plans of the modality, available at the virtual campus of cadascuna of the subjects.

Final work

The TFG is the culmination of the process of learning of the student thus it recommends that cursi at the final phase of the surveys and after the subject of Pràcticum. It regulates of chord with the regulatory general Norms of the works of end of Rank of the University of Barcelona  that concretise at the regulatory Rule of the Works of End of Rank (TFG) of the Faculty of Information and Mitjans Audiovisuals 

It consists at the realisation of an individual and freelance work, tutoritzat for a teacher, and at his oral presentation in front of a tribunal at public session. The pupil has to elect a motif and the type of work that poses carry out (historic survey, state of the question, work of area, survey of case or a project of development), from a list of motifs proposed. It elects it and justification of the motif as well as the elaboration of a plan of work constitutes a phase of work that has a special importance to attain the aims of the TFG.

To enrol the TFG the student has to have surpassed a minimum of 180 credits among which recommends especially have surpassed the subject Methodology of the enquiry.

Procedures and calendars

At commencing the semester (consult the calendar of the distinct phases) the student has to fill a form to present a proposal of motif of work at the coordinator, at electing of among the proposals. For such to assign a tutor it is necessary that the form was conveniently crowded. Until it do not conform the formality, the pupil will not be able to have of a tutor assigned. The works that merit the consideration of excellent for the squad of tutors pass at forming part of a specific collection in the digital Deposit of the UB.

The assignment of the tutor realises it the coordinator according to the aims, the methodology and the themed  among the professorship assigned by the department implied.

The students has to assist at 3 face-to-face sessions obligatory. The first realises at the principle of semester (September or February) and explains the operation of the subject. At this session the students has to present his proposal of work at the partners, independently of if already has or no a tutor assigned. Besides the students has to assist at two specific seminars, a centred at questions more methodological that realises at the beginning of October or of March, according to the semester; and, another at the end of the process directed especially at the oral presentation.

The students has to develop the work of freelance mode. The tutor realises a task of guide. At this sense are obligatory a minimum of 3 sessions of tutoria during the process of elaboration of the work.

Once it meets the quantity of pupils that have obtained of his tutor a positive appraisal of his task, the coordinator names the tribunals of defence among the available professorship of the departments implied and/or professionals and academicians of renowned prestige in the themed defended.

Process of appraisal

The system of appraisal of the TFG bases at the superació of several phases at which assess by means of a rúbrica of appraisal the distinct competences that has to deploy the students, understanding them here like a pool of kens, abilities and values that converge and permit to carry out a task effectively, so that the students attain the aims of an efficient mode and that it obtain the effect desired at the time stipulated and utilising the best methods and available resources for his realisation.

The TFG, are which was his nature, needs of a memory written. This can draft at the official tongues of Catalonia. At principle of semester will inform on the formal aspects of presentation.

The final work, once surpassed the phase of scripture of the memory according to the criterion of the tutor, has to expose in front of a tribunal that will assess competences related with the oral communication and written. The pupil will have to hand also at the tribunal an executive digest. This digest will have to be obligatòriament at English. During the oral defence also will assess the oral linguistic competence at English of the students.

The students will available all the documentation, matrices or rúbriques of appraisal, calendars, etc. at the room of the subject of the virtual campus.

Mobility

The students of the Faculty has a tracked of opportunities to complement his training at other universities, so much of the rest of the State how of the foreigner. Some programs are thought to complete the surveys, whereas of others promote the acquisition of practical experience at a real labour environment.

Tutorial action plan

The Faculty has of a Plan of Act Tutorial (PAT) that fixes the acts that the centre and the educations have to realise along the surveys with the aim to facilitate the adaptation of the students at his incorporation at the university, to facilitate his aprofitament academic and personnel and to favour the transition at the world of the work and the permanent training.

Tracking the guidelines fixed at this document frame, the faculty elaborates annually at level of degree a Plan of act tutorial that has for aim that the students get the information and the necessary orientation to facilitate his integration at the field of the Documentation, his process of learning and his step at the professional world.

At enrolling , or before if they solicit it, at the students of new income will assign him a tutor that will lean him and orientation customised along the surveys. This support will carry out by means of tutories of band and individual, at which the students will be convened during the course, and also through the tools of communication of the virtual Campus.
