Publications

The Faculty has a long tradition in publishing texts of various kinds, both informative and educational and research in nature, and is present on current social networks. 
  • Yearbook of libraries, books and reading: annual publication that offers the state of the art in the world of libraries, books and reading. ISSN 2696-3949.
  • BiD: university texts on library science and documentation: semi-annual, open access scientific journal, specializing in information and documentation. It was started in 1998 and since 2013 is has been co-published with the UOC. It is indexed, among others, in Scopus and to Emerging sources citation index del Web of science. ISSN 1575-5886.
  • Blog of the Escola de Llibreria: blog specialized in the world of books, reading and bookstores, with news and reviews dedicated to these areas. ISSN 2696-4201.
  • BiD Block: blog of reviews of technical reports specializing in information and documentation that complements the BiD magazine. ISSN 2014-0894.
  • Thursday's sheet (2001-2012): weekly bulletin for internal distribution that included the main academic, teaching and cultural activities of the Faculty's university community, which was published between 2001 and 2012. It is the predecessor of the current Faculty News. 
  • FIMA mobiles: blog started in 2005 that aims to encourage student participation in international activities, such as study stays, internships, participation in conferences abroad, etc. A large part of the entries are made by the protagonists of mobility.  
  • Faculty news: the Faculty has been publishing the Faculty News newsletter since 2012, which replaces the old Thurday's sheet. Subscribe for free if you want to stay up to date with the latest news from the Faculty. 
  • Hispanic PolDoc: online repertoire of policies for the development and management of documentary collections, with a Spanish and Hispanic American scope. 
Social media. The Faculty is present on the most popular social networks, such as Bluesky, Instagram and Facebook. On the YouTube channel you will find videos promoting the courses, chronicles of activities carried out, testimonies from alumni (Professional Channel), etc. There are also videos related to the Faculty of the UB Audiovisual Portal.
