    • Erasmus Internships is a modality of the Erasmus program that has as its objective that you carry out internships with academic recognition in companies or organizations of any of the twenty-seven member states of the EU (exluding Spain), Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or Turkey. The internships must be authorized and supervised by the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media.

The beneficiaries of mobilities can receive financial assistance to cover additional expenses incurred from participating in the ERASMUS+ program. The amount of this assistance depends on the Autonomous Organization for European Educational Projects (OAPEE), under the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports, and varies according to the cost of living in the destination countries:
  • Group 1: program countries with a higher cost of living (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Lichtenstein, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland), € 300 /month.
  • Group 2: program countries with a medium cost of living (Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, Turkey, and Cyprus), € 250 €/month.
  • Group 3: program countries with a lower cost of living (Bulgaria, Slovakia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), € 200 /month.
Beneficiaries of study mobilities in situations of economic disadvantage can receive an additional monthly grant of €100 for a maximum duration of five months. This grant depends on the conditions established by the OAPEE at the time. Additionally, base on academic merits, each student may receive a grant of €200/month from the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Furthermore, the Formula Santander and Ibero-American Santander international mobility grants are announced annually. We recommend that you follow the call dates on this website:  http://www.ub.edu/uri.
There are also grants for students with special needs due to disability, financed by the European Commission. These students may also apply for scholarships from the Universia Foundation.

The University of Barcelona, through the Escola d'Idiomes Moderns (School of Modern Languages), offers its linguistic services to applicants for international mobility grants:

  1. Certification of language level: https://www.eim.ub.edu/ca/certificat/erasmus-beca-mobilitat/
  2. Subsidized language courses for students awarded an international mobility grant: https://www.eim.ub.edu/ca/beques/erasmus/
At the destination universities, free language courses are also commonly offered to Erasmus students. Additionally, the European Commission provides intensive courses in less commonly taught languages - any language except German, English, and French - conducted in the destination country one month before the semester begins.
