Faculty Spaces

Book Exchange Point
The Faculty has a book exchange point located in the second-floor lobby, where anyone can leave or take books freely. It’s open access and available throughout the building’s opening hours.

Auditorium
FIMA has an auditorium that seats up to 300 people. It’s fully equipped with audiovisual technology, a large screen, internet connection, and recording capabilities. The space is used for all types of events: conferences and congresses, the opening ceremonies of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, graduation ceremonies, and more.

Study Space
On the first floor, there is a study space opened in 2021, equipped with eight tables of different sizes and heights, all with power outlets for laptops. It’s freely available for students to use, either individually or in groups.

Radio Studio
The radio studio, located on the third floor, includes a 12 m² soundproof booth with a table, radio microphones, and headphones for four people. A large window provides direct visibility to the 22 m² control room, which features a 32-channel sound mixer, audio players, and other controls. In addition to voiceover and dubbing recordings, the space is designed for creating podcasts and radio programs.

Sound Studio
Located on the third floor, the sound studio is a fully soundproofed 20 m² room. Its interior is lined with anti-reverberation panels and includes a separate 3 m² voiceover booth. The studio is intended for recording voiceovers and dubbing films.

Audiovisual Production and Entrepreneurship Coworking Space
The Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media has two coworking spaces (rooms 217 and 218) on the second floor, dedicated to audiovisual production and entrepreneurship. Students, faculty, and alumni can collaborate here on the creation and development of audiovisual projects. For more information, contact Maddalena Fedele (maddalena.fedele@ub.edu).

Studio 1
Studio 1 is on the third floor and includes a 70 m² room with chroma key setup, ceiling-mounted lighting, and two backdrop curtains (black and gray). It also features a 15 m² soundproof control room with a video mixer, titler, lighting controls, and soundboard, along with a small dressing room with running water and a makeup mirror.

Studio 2
Also on the third floor, Studio 2 spans 90 m² and is completely isolated from natural light and sound, thanks to anti-reverberation panels. The walls are painted black and white, and there's a backdrop roller system with white, gray, and green chroma key paper. It’s an ideal space for freely assembling sets and staging scenes
