CRAI Library
The CRAI Information and Audiovisual Media Library provides comprehensive materials for courses of study and research activities at the faculty: degrees in Information and Documentation and in Information and Digital Documentation Management, degree in Audiovisual Communication, double degree in InfoCom and several master's degrees, specialized postgraduate courses and doctoral studies.
The CRAI Library of Library Science and Documentation began its activities in 1920 as the library of the Escola Superior de Bibliotecàries, created in 1915 by the Mancomunitat de Catalunya. As the first specialized library in the State, its collection includes the most representative publications in its field throughout the 20th century.
From the CRAI (Centre for Learning and Research Resources), which integrates library services and teaching support, we support the virtual platform that complements face-to-face teaching and allows the publication of relevant information for each group or subject (syllabus, bibliography, exercises), and communication between students and teachers.
The Information and Audiovisual Media Library organizes information sessions on its operation and the services it offers, aimed at all new students at the UB, or anyone intrested. Other services are: Wi-Fi zone and laptop loan services.
Located in the basement of the building, it is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 20:30. During summer the opening hours are reduced. Some UB libraries are open during weekends and holidays.
