CPEA
The CPEA (Centre for Audiovisual Production and Entrepreneurship) aims to promote and support the development of audiovisual projects, in order to offer a realistic and professional environment for the creation of audiovisual works, as well as to foster entrepreneurship among students and faculty involved in audiovisual media studies.
Coordination: Maddalena Fedele
A professionalising and audiovisual entrepreneurship initiative, which consists of organising a Festival, a Showcase of works, and an Awards Gala to recognise the best projects by students from CAV and INFOCOM.
Participating students enroll in an elective activity (1 or 2 ECTS credits), through which they develop various skills and competencies such as creativity, teamwork, persuasive communication, and entrepreneurship. Ultimately, the initiative fosters a sense of belonging to FIMA and encourages collaboration across different academic years.

FIMA’s own podcast channel designed to host content created by the entire FIMA community (students, teaching and research staff, and administrative and service staff). Ràdio FIMA combines Open Educational Resources (OER) and Project-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance students’ competencies and strengthen the sense of community. Additionally, it includes training activities and free-access educational materials for all FIMA staff.
Student participation is managed through an elective activity (1 or 2 ECTS credits).

The Talent Week, organised by the Audiovisual Cluster, aims to “connect emerging talent from university centres in the audiovisual field with professionals from across the sector.” All Catalan universities and faculties related to the audiovisual and interactive media fields take part.
Each academic year, FIMA participates by preselecting the best student projects for the Audiovisual Pitching event. In addition, selected students receive support to prepare the required materials for their pitching presentations.
Student support: Maddalena Fedele
Through the CPEA, FIMA offers support to students, professors and alumni in the development of their own audiovisual projects. This support includes access to the CPEA coworking space (second floor, rooms 217 and 218), as well as exceptional loans of audiovisual equipment and spaces for filming.
Projects—whether individual or collaborative—must be original and have educational, academic, and/or professional value. They must not be intended for commercial profit.

The CPEA can manage projects carried out in collaboration with partner organisations, provided they offer educational, academic, and/or professional value for students and are not intended for commercial profit.
When the CPEA coordinator receives a collaboration proposal, a meeting is held with the proposing organisation to assess the feasibility and relevance of the project. The collaboration may fall into one of the following categories:
- Collaboration with a specific course, as a Service-Learning (SL) or Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiative
- Collaboration through a Bachelor's Final Project (TFG)
- Collaboration via curricular or extracurricular internships
- Dissemination of information to students (if it is a paid job offer), through the PAT space
