La Dra. Mirèia Guil Egea guanya el XXIX Premi 2025 del Claustre de Doctors de la Universitat de Barcelona

Dr. Mireia Guil Egea, researcher at the Programa de doctorat en Societat i Cultura: Història, Antropologia, Art i Patrimoni, has been awarded the XXIX Premi 2025 del Claustre de Doctors de la Universitat de Barcelona, one of the most prestigious awards granted by the UB, for the best doctoral theses.
The jury distinguished her thesis, entitled De festes locals a patrimoni cultural immaterial de la UNESCO: la patrimonialització de les festes del foc als Pirineus, co-directed by Dr. Xavier Roigé Ventura and Dra. Camila del Mármol Cartañà.
In this edition of the award, called in January 2025 and open to theses defended throughout 2023, 209 candidacies from practically all fields of knowledge of the UB competed. The jury, chaired by the rector Dr. Joan Guàrdia Olmos and established on July 12, 2025, highlighted not only the scientific excellence of the winning thesis, but also the overall quality of the theses presented, many of which had already received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in their respective faculties.
The verdict, issued on December 22, 2025, also highlights the remarkable response of the young doctors of the UB, an indicator of the vitality and solidity of the research developed at the university.
