Global Faculty UB

The Global Faculty are agreements between faculties from other universities around the world.

The mobility offer is prepared based on the places agreed upon in the agreements.

The study period is minimum of one semester and maximum of two semesters consecutive and always within a UB academic year.

You must be enrolled at the UB in the course and academic year in which you are doing the exchange. You are also exempt from paying tuition at the destination university. Eventually, however, you may be required to pay mandatory fees for insurance, student unions, use of various materials, etc., under the same conditions as local students.

Mobility involves the incorporation of the credits passed into the student's academic record and into the European Diploma Supplement.

You can look for available places using the place search tool.

The general requirements are set out by the call for applications; however, here we list the main requirements:

  • Be enrolled in any Bachelor's or master's degree programme at the UB.
  • If you are a Bachelor's student, you must have completed 60 credits at the time of application. If you are a master's student, you must have enrolled in a minimum of 30 credits at the time of application, which you must have passed before starting your stay.
  • During your stay you must take between 24 and 30 credits per semester. Students from the Faculty of Geography and History cannot enrol as part of their mobility for either the Bachelor's degree final project (TFG) or the Master's degree final project (TFM) or placements (however, placements can be taken through Erasmus Intern).
  • You must prove a sufficient level of linguistic competence to be able to follow the activities of the destination university (the level and language required are determined by the agreement), if applicable. Therefore, a language certificate or accreditation is an essential requirement for applying for non-Spanish speaking destinations.
The application to the Global UB Faculty program must be made through the application MOBILITY-ONLINE SOP. Within this application, you must register, fill out an application form and attach the required documentation in the call for applications.
