The Faculty of Geography and history specializes in the teaching of anthropology, archaeology, geography, history, and history of art.

You can study the degrees in Social and Cultural Anthropology, in Archaeology, in Geography and Global Change, in History, and in History of Art. More than a dozen official master’s degrees are also taught there, as well as various continuing education courses and three doctoral programmes.

Studies

The Faculty offers a wide range of official studies at bachelor's, university master's, and doctoral level. The bachelor's degrees last four years, and there is the option of studying double degrees that allow obtaining two qualifications in a reduced period of time. The master's degrees cover various specialised fields, and the doctoral programmes that can be studied are: Mediaeval Cultures; Geography, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management; and Society and Culture: History, Anthropology, Art and Heritage.

Doctorate 

The doctorate title is the highest university academic degree. It is obtained by completing a doctoral programme and defending the doctoral thesis. To access it, it is necessary to have completed an official master’s or to have passed research sufficiency. You will find all the information on regulations, procedures, thesis writing and defence at the Doctoral School portal.

Teaching innovation 
The improvement of teaching involves constantly reviewing learning processes and incorporating good practices, new methodologies and useful tools. The teaching innovation projects are made up of teams committed to the quality of teaching. The University, through the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching, promotes the RIMDA programme (Research, Improvement and Innovation in Teaching and Learning), which offers support to face new academic challenges and promotes continuous improvement of teaching.
