Non-curricular placements
Non-curricular placements are not included in the course curriculum; they are voluntary and paid. They are formalized through educational cooperation agreements.
Please note that, due to the entry into force of Royal Decree 2/2023, students undertaking training placements or external academic placements included in academic programmes must register with Social Security. For this reason, the University of Barcelona will ask all students to provide their Social Security number.
You will find information on how to request your Social Security number in the infographic below, as well as instructions on how to enter it into GIPE.
Extracurricular placements are voluntary, are not part of the course curriculum and do carry academic credits. This activity must be recorded in the European Diploma Supplement in accordance with current regulations.
In order to include these placements in the European Diploma Supplement, the assessment form must be submitted to the Secretary’s Office for Students and Teaching at the Faculty.
