Activities for bachelor's degrees

In collaboration with the Student Support Service (SAE), the Faculty has drawn up a portfolio of careers actions for each bachelor's degree.

Welcome sessions for new bachelor's degree students

Before the start of classes, newly admitted students of a Bachelor's degree are invited to attend informational sessions led by programme directors. These sessions introduce the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT) and provide opportunities to meet senior students. All sessions are held on campus at Mundet, and relevant information is published on the Faculty website during the first half of September.

Professional Orientation Week

In the final years of each programme, the PAT organises professional guidance and career orientation sessions tailored to each degree. Experts from the relevant sectors participate, including representatives from the Department of Education, Department of Justice, professional associations, teaching unions, and other relevant organisations.

End-of-Degree Support Programme

Aimed at final-year students completing their Bachelor's thesis, the PAT provides personalised academic and professional guidance. Information about this service is available via the Virtual Campus section for Bachelor's degrees.

Master's Information Sessions

Between April and June, the PAT coordinates virtual sessions in collaboration with master's degree coordinators, covering objectives, career opportunities, timetables, and other programme details. Information is provided through the Faculty website and the Virtual Campus section for Bachelor's degrees.

Doctoral Information Session

The Vice-Dean for Research organises a virtual session in June to present the Faculty of Education’s doctoral programmes. Details are shared via the Faculty website and the Virtual Campus section for master’s degrees.

The Tutorial Action Plan provides direct support to students to address their individual needs.

The most common areas of consultation include:

Academic Guidance: Information and advice on the university pathway (changing degree programmes, simultaneous study of two degrees, pursuing a master’s, etc.).

Career Opportunities: Exploration of professional possibilities linked to studies and resources to help define and develop a career plan.

University Adaptation: Personalized support to manage integration and adaptation to university life, both academically and personally.

Office hours (by appointment only):

The Tutorial Action Plan, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona Student Services, coordinates guidance and support for students experiencing learning difficulties.

Target students:
  • Students with a recognized disability certificate who may require adjustments.
  • Students without a disability certificate but who may face academic challenges due to diagnosed physical, sensory, or psychological conditions (e.g., ADHD, dyslexia, serious chronic illnesses, etc.).

Areas of action and activities:

  • Advice on specific resources and procedures.
  • Proposals for individualized adaptations or adjustments.
  • Loan of assistive products and management of support services.
  • Collaboration with institutions and social agents.
  • Activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting best practices.

Protocol for students with specific educational support requirements

Students may have special educational support requirements for a number of reasons, including learning disorders, high abilities, physical, intellectual or sensory disability, autism, etc.

What do I do if I have special support requirements that I have not discussed with the University?

  1. Request an individual adaptation report from the Student Support Service (SAE): sae.integracio@ub.edu.

  2. Send the necessary supporting documents.

  3. Wait to receive your report and the Tutorial Action Plan from the Faculty.

Will the teaching staff adapt the materials for me?

Yes, provided that they have received your individual adaptation report.

How do I know if my report has been sent to the teaching staff?

You can either ask the staff directly or send an email to pat.educacio@ub.edu.

The primary objective of the UB Tutoresport Programme is to support students in successfully managing their dual training, combining academic studies with athletic practice. The programme aims to provide flexibility in academic obligations so they are compatible with sporting commitments, in accordance with current regulations on high-performance university sport at the University of Barcelona.

Key features of the programme:

  • Emotional support for students.
  • Shared sporting experiences.
  • Assistance in addressing fears and uncertainties.
  • Support to balance academic and athletic activities, particularly during internship periods.

The programme allows recognition of up to 6 credits during the degree, or 1.5 per year.

Additionally, it enables students to train at UB Sports facilities free of charge and to participate in competitions representing the University at regional, national and international levels.

Detailed information on the programme, including access requirements, registration and benefits, is available on the official programme page.
