Organization and methodology

Here is the translation:

The master's degree is taught in person and is organized on a trimester basis. The courses take place during the first two trimesters in sequences of 10 weeks: the first, from mid-September to mid-December; the second, from mid-January to mid-April. In the third trimester, from mid-April to mid-June, students focus on completing the Master's Thesis and, eventually, on internships at the Faculty of Economics and Business itself or with regulatory bodies, competition defense agencies, and operators of essential services that collaborate with the program; internships may last until mid-September.

The in-person teaching for the first and second trimesters takes place between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Attendance at classes, seminars, and conferences is mandatory. Students have access to classrooms at the Faculty to carry out continuous assessment tasks, either individually or in groups, during the free time between classes. The program is full-time.

The maximum number of students is between 20 and 25. Students are required to engage in ongoing practical activities throughout the course via the Virtual Campus and submit problems and essays for various courses. Professors of the courses have a teaching assistant tutor who is available to help students with their study of the course and practical activities.

The sectorial courses in Water, Energy, Telecommunications, and Transport are held intensively over one week and include sessions from both faculty members and external professionals from regulatory bodies, competition defense agencies, and public service operators.

The content of the syllabi (programs, activities, assessments, calendars, etc.) is available online through the Virtual Campus.

Final work

According to the general regulations of the UB, as well as the specific regulations of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the official master's degree programs aim for students to acquire advanced, specialized, or multidisciplinary training, aimed at academic or professional specialization, or the promotion of initiation into research tasks. These programs must conclude with the preparation and public defense of a final master's thesis.

Within this framework, this master's degree program includes the course Final Master's Thesis (TFM), worth 10 ECTS credits.

The TFM must be an original contribution based on the knowledge and bibliographic references analyzed. The methodology can vary: from the use of analytical tools such as statistics and econometrics to the critical discussion of the ideas presented. The thesis may use empirical data or adopt a theoretical approach.

Mobility

The Faculty of Economics and Business has an International Promotion Area that is responsible for managing the faculty's international mobility programs, seeking new agreements, and actively contributing to the internationalization of the center, especially for its students.

In this office, they will guide and assist you with international mobility.
