Final work

General information

According to the general regulations of the UB, as well as the specific regulations of the Faculty of Economics and Business, official university master’s programs aim for students to acquire advanced, specialized, or multidisciplinary training, oriented towards academic or professional specialization or the promotion of initiation into research tasks. The program must conclude with the development and public defense of a master's thesis.

Within this framework, this master’s program includes the course Master's Thesis, worth 15 ECTS credits.

The student must carry out a project that can be of different types, such as a business plan for a new company, an innovation plan for a department of an existing company, or the development of research applied to the content acquired in the master’s program. It should include personal conclusions that demonstrate critical thinking and personal reflection.

The student must integrate and apply —with a professional, creative, and innovative approach— the competencies acquired throughout the master’s program and incorporate specific skills (autonomy, initiative, practical application, etc.).

The thesis is defined as autonomous, although there is a tutor who must approve the project and provide guidance to the student. Throughout the development of the project, the student may meet with the tutor to present progress reports on the work.

The Master’s Committee designates the teaching staff as tutors for the final master’s projects.

The thesis is presented and defended in a public session before a tribunal.

Mobility

The Faculty of Economics and Business has an International Promotion Area that is responsible for managing the faculty's international mobility programs, seeking new agreements, and actively contributing to the internationalization of the center, especially for its students.

In this office, they will guide and assist you with international mobility.

Tutorial action plan

The coordinator holds general coordination sessions and individual tutoring upon request by the students.

The master’s program has an information campus where all important matters of interest to students are communicated: seminars, conferences, exam schedules, professional association events where students are invited to participate for free, job offers, etc. There is also an email address for contact (mastercreaempresa@ub.edu) to resolve doubts and provide support to students.
