Presentation
The Master's in Actuarial and Financial Sciences provides the necessary multidisciplinary training according to international standards to perform actuarial functions. The program covers the knowledge required by the actuarial training curriculum of the International Actuarial Association and the European Actuarial Association.

Course curriculum
Organization and methodology
The study program consists of a total of 120 ECTS credits.
Of the 120 credits of the master's degree, 92.5 correspond to mandatory subjects. The remaining 27.5 credits are distributed as follows: 17.5 credits for specialization electives and 10 credits for the Master's Thesis. The master's program is structured to be completed in two academic years (four semesters).
The subjects of the master's program are grouped into ten different areas of knowledge, which can be consulted in the Study Plan section.
In order to take the master's program, students must have prior knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and economics. Students who do not have these qualifications must enroll in the supplementary training courses.
To request the recognition and/or transfer of credits, it is necessary to contact the Master's and Doctorate Office of the Faculty of Economics and Business (omd.eco@ub.edu), which will provide the student with the specific documentation they need to submit.

Final work
The different departments with teaching responsibilities in the Master's program offer a set of thematic lines, and students prioritize these thematic lines according to their preferences. The assignment of the thematic line to the student is based on their prioritized order of thematic lines and their academic record.
To enroll in the TFM, the student must have enrolled in all the courses of the Master's program (with the exception of the Curricular Business Internships).

Mobility
The Faculty of Economics and Business has an International Promotion Area that is responsible for managing the faculty's international mobility programs, seeking new agreements, and actively contributing to the internationalization of the center, especially for its students.
In this office, they will guide and assist you with international mobility.
Tutorial action plan
The coordinator organizes general coordination sessions and individual tutoring upon request from the students.
The Master's program has an informational campus where all important matters of interest to the students are communicated: seminars, conferences, exam schedules, professional corporation events where they are invited to participate for free, job offers, etc. There is also an email address for contact (master.caf@ub.edu) to resolve doubts and provide support to the students.
Scholarships and grants
There are various scholarships and grants available at any stage of university education: for research, participation in exchange programs, summer courses, further studies or research abroad, working as a language assistant, internships in other countries, etc.
