Mobility PDI UB

UB teaching and research staff

The Faculty of Economics and Business and the University of Barcelona promote the participation of teachers and research staff in mobility and internationalization programs. Particularly noteworthy are the Erasmus+ KA131 and KA171.ICM programmes, which facilitate the international mobility of teaching and research staff with EU funding, as well as other Erasmus+ projects or similar initiatives with financial support.

Erasmus+ KA131

The Erasmus+ KA131 programme funds teaching stays of the University of Barcelona teaching staff in universities and institutions of the EU and countries associated with Erasmus+ agreements on teaching mobility.

You will find information about the calls and deadlines in Calls Erasmus+ KA131 per a PDI.

Teaching must be carried out at a university or research center with an Erasmus+ agreement on teaching mobility with the Faculty of Economics and Business, which currently has almost 70 agreements of this modality in Europe. You can check the universities available in the SOP application according to your Faculty/Affiliation Centre.

If you want to make a stay at a university without an agreement, contact the ORI at exchangecoordinator.fee ub.edu to receive advice and information on deadlines.

The aim of these mobilities is to teach at the destination centre. The agreements do not guarantee automatic acceptance of mobility and a teaching program must be previously agreed with the teaching staff or department of the host university. The teaching program may include the teaching of classes, seminars, conferences or participation in international weeks. Activities such as institutional visits or research stays are not eligible.

  • Minimum: 2 days of teaching with a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Maximum: 2 months, although it is only financed up to 5 school days. If the stay exceeds this period, only the maximum financed duration will be covered.

Although the information may vary from one course to another, as a general rule the program covers:

  • Offset: According to the financing tables published with each call.
  • Stay: For a maximum of 5 days.

The process is carried out entirely online through the SOP application, where you will also find the available destinations and the required documentation.

In the call you will find the requirements, steps and documentation necessary to complete the application successfully.

The application must be formalized before the deadline indicated in the call; otherwise, it will be considered excluded.

If the application has been formalized but documentation is missing, an amendment period will be given to fill it out from the moment of receipt of the request by email.

It will be necessary to present a teaching agreement signed by both centers before the stay, where the reasons for the stay are indicated, the teaching that will be taught, the days and hours planned, etc.).

Upon return, you must submit a certificate of stay and the required documentation.

Erasmus+ KA171|ICM

The Erasmus+ KA171 lesICM programme funds teaching and training stays of the University of Barcelona's PDI in universities and institutions outside the EU and associated countries with which the UB has established international cooperation projects within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.

You will find information about the calls and deadlines in Call Erasmus+ KA171/ICM per a PDI.

Teaching must be carried out in one of the universities outside the EU and associated countries with which the University of Barcelona has established a cooperation project within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.

These destinations may vary from one academic year to another, depending on the duration of the projects and the new concessions granted.

You can check the different destinations of the program in the SOP application depending on your Faculty/Affiliation Center.

  • The mobility stay must be carried out until the dates indicated in Annexes 1 (teaching or training) of the call.
  • The duration of the stay must be one week (5 school days) and must have a minimum load of 8 hours of teaching / week.
  • The stay at the host university may be higher, although funding will only be received for the period indicated in the previous point.

The grant consists of an allocation for locomotion expenses and maintenance and stay expenses according to the amounts set by the Erasmus+ program depending on the destination. They can be consulted in the annex of each call.

Erasmus+ Projects

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme there are actions such as KA2, KA3 and Jean Monnet projects that finance internationalisation activities through international consortiums made up of universities and institutions from various countries. These projects promote academic cooperation, knowledge transfer and innovation, promoting competitiveness, modernization and excellence in both management and academic field.
